I watch my energetic grandchildren bouncing around, calling for mommy, talking, crying, laughing, and go, go, going. They have a whole series of needs and wants throughout the day, and usually it’s “mommy” that they call upon for help.
I watch in awe as my daughters juggle taking care of them, cleaning the house, homeschooling, serving in the church, cooking, doing laundry, grocery shopping, and meeting the needs of family and friends. There is a catch phrase that has infected certain parts of the Christian church and bears a closer look. The genetic traits of such expressions are that they are overused and contagious. A speaker finds a verse of Scripture, is excited by the possibilities, and begins to use it in public.
