Dealing With Holiday Stress
Dec 9th
Every year I think that I’ll simplify Christmas celebrations so that I can deal better with holiday stress. But I don’t always do it.
It’s so easy to busy myself with so much baking, decorating, entertaining, attending Christmas events, and shopping, that I end up getting stressed and rushing through the season without focusing on the reason for the season. It takes real resolve to make decisions to NOT attend every single Christmas craft show, big sale, Christmas play, and holiday party. Running off to all these things just builds stress. Christmas Devotional: When God Breaks In
Dec 4th
God broke through to the shepherds.
by Dr. Marilyn Murphree
“..and the glory of the Lord shone round about them, and they were terrified. Luke 2:9

Looking in the mirror reminds us regretfully of the second More >

Exuberant Silent Monks Devotional
Nov 28th
It’s often hard for those of us who love to sing our worship to God to imagine how we could exuberantly worship without being able to sing. The monks in the following video of the “Silent Monks Choir” amaze us with their creativity in worshiping without breaking their vows of silence. These monks show us that worship does not have to be boring and can really be “out of the box.” Christmas traditional worship, combined with the unique manner in which these monks worship, show us that God is always taking us to new levels and helping us to break More >
