Children’s Devo – Dare to Be A Daniel
Oct 10th
The book of Daniel in the Old Testament is full of the adventure. This is the beginning of Daniel’s story.
Along with many other bright, handsome Jewish young men, Daniel and three of his friends had been kidnapped and taken away from their families and friends. They were taken to Babylon, where King Nebuchadnezzar ordered that they should be trained to be his servants. It must have been very hard for all of these young men. They had to learn a new language, study the literature and customs of the Chaldeans, and be trained for a job that they had not More >
In All Your Ways Acknowledge Him
Aug 15th
by David Roberts Proverbs 3:6 is a well known and often quoted Scripture verse. “In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.” The goal is to have the great Creator and Operator of the universe actually take the time and interest to direct our paths. That sounds like an offer too good to be true, yet it is Scripture; it is God’s Word, and He is no liar since the father of lies can find nothing in Him. Who wouldn’t want his or her paths directed by the One Who knows the future now before it happens More >
Heat Wave
Jul 21st
As I write this, much of the United States is engulfed by a humid heat wave. People are trying to deal with the heat by going into air conditioned places and by drinking lots of fluids. People can die from intense heat like this, so precautions are necessary. People are advised to not stay out in the heat for long periods of time and to stay hydrated.
An Eternal Heat Wave Someone on Facebook posted “Hell is hotter than this, and there is no relief.” That’s a scary thought. In Luke 16 we read that Jesus told about the beggar Lazarus and More >
The Day After Good Friday
Apr 24th
by Karen Roberts
I can’t help but believe that the following devotion is critical for someone to read. I have never had so much difficulty in posting on this blog before. I had at least half of this written and hit the button to save the draft and the whole thing disappeared. Then I rewrote and got a bit further and my whole computer screen blacked out. I had to wait until today, Easter Sunday, to post this. If the enemy is battling my writing this, then there is great victory that the Lord wants to give to someone who is More >
Launch Out Into the Deep

Launch out into the deep. Luke 5:4
by Karen Roberts
The crowd was pressing in on Jesus as He spoke to them by the Lake of Gennesaret. They wanted to hear Him speak, and perhaps many of them had heard how he had been healing all kinds of diseases and setting people free from demons. He saw Simon Peter’s boat and asked him to let Him sit in it. They went out a little ways away from the land so that the crowds would not keep pushing against Him. And there He sat and taught them.
Then he turned to Simon Peter and More >
Why Do You Need Revelation?
Jan 18th
Find a quiet place and ask God to speak to you.
Some people believe that the only revelation we need is the written word of God. They believe that the days of receiving any other type of revelation from God ended once the apostles died. Others believe strongly in receiving revelation from God in their spirits through spending time praying and listening to hear the Spirit of God. Some of these ones don’t spend much time reading the written word of God, for they feel they are tuned in to hear the Spirit of God.
However, the real key is that we More >
New Year Devotional
Jan 2nd
A new year is here. As we look back and remember the challenges and victories of the past year, we see the faithfulness of God in our lives. Although every problem and challenge has not been resolved, we know by the promises in His Word and through experience that He answers prayer and leads, guides, and protects His children.
In this new year, let’s look for an invasion of God into impossible situations. Let’s ask Him for faith for the impossible. We cannot create this faith ourselves. Ephesians 2:8 tells us that faith is a gift of God. So we can More >
